The Termostav-Mráz, s.r.o. Company in Košice continues the long-time history and experience of the Termostav Bratislava Concern – Management 3 in Košice, established on 2 January 1962.
The commission of a newly established building management, and later on of the Concern, was to carry out construction works like refractory linings and heat insulation for the purpose of intensive development of this industrial branch in Eastern Slovakia.
First employees of the building management underwent a professional preparation and practical training in the premises of metallurgy complexes of that time in Ostrava and Třinec. Subsequent generations obtained new experience at various constructions within the territory of Slovak Republic and later they were trained for new technologies in the European Union countries, mainly in Germany.
During this period, since 2 January 1962, the company went through many organizational changes. The most important was transformation from the public enterprise into the private company, Termostav-Mráz s.r.o. Košice, which took place on 1 July 1994.
Success achieved is the result of the team work performed by experienced managers, technicians and workers. A great emphasis is put on the Company's success on the domestic and the foreign market, professional growth and education of employees, services related, without neglecting the social aspect.
The Termostav-Mráz s.r.o. Košice operates on the domestic and the foreign markets in the field of refractory linings, insulation, construction and reconstruction of chimneys and other construction works; continuing thus with activities of the former public enterprise, the Termostav. The Company performs works at constructions sites within all industrial branches. It employs a sufficient number of professionals and qualified experts. It possesses well-proven technologies and equipments, uses and installs conventional and new materials from both domestic and foreign suppliers.
The effort of the company managers and employees is constantly improve quality of the performed work, which was also accepted by the RWTUW auditing company, by which we were granted the Quality Certificate STN EN ISO 9002 in 1998. In 2001 we upheld the Quality Certificate pursuant to the STN EN ISO 9001-2000.
Present achievements entitle us to look into the future with hope for further development of our Company, thanks to our long-time customers, investors, and business partners.
IMS Policy
Integrated Management System Policy of the TERMOSTAV – MRÁZ, spol. s r.o. Company in Košice
The Termostav–Mráz, s.r.o. Company in Košice is the leading supplier in the field of refractory works, construction, reconstruction, and repairs of factory chimneys, heat, cold, and other insulations in Slovakia and in the Central Europe. The Company applies, maintains, and improves the Integrated Management System (IMS), including the Quality Management System (QMS), the Environmental Management System (EMS), and the Occupational Safety and Health Management System (OSHMS).
The Company undertakes to provide that the Integrated Management System principles are consistently applied by all the employees and achieve thus sustainable improvement of the processes and performance of the Company with the emphasis on the following:
- higher customers' satisfaction with the quality of products and provided services;
- stabilization of the Company's position on the market
- improvement of performance of and processes within the Company;
- reduction of the environmental impact of the processes;
- increasing the level of occupational safety and health of employees and cooperating organizations and achieving permanent reduction in accident and undesired event rate
Integrated Management System Policy
Company management undertakes to create the conditions facilitating adherence to and improvement of the policy principles:
Customers’ satisfaction
- We monitor the information on how customers perceive fulfilment of their requirements,
- We ensure fulfilment of expectations by the involved parties in order to achieve their satisfaction and obtain the competitive advantages.
Responsibility
- Decisive responsibility for prosperity and permanent improvement is within the competency borne by the Company management,
- Requirements for the safety at work and the environmental protection connected with the Company’s processes are of equal importance as the requirements for the product quality and are included in the business activities of the Company management,
- We emphasize the personal responsibility of individuals regardless of their position within the Company’s organization structure,
- With discretion we use the financial sources for development of the production base and the production procedure technology and examine efficiency thereof in compliance with this policy’s principles.
Systematic approach
- We have developed, maintain, and improve the Integrated Management System concentrated on the production quality, Occupational Safety and Health (OSaH), and the environmental protection,
- We create and update the Company’s controlling actions pursuant to the applicable laws in order to ensure the required level of OSaH and the environmental protection with an explicit specification of responsibilities of individual employees and cooperating companies.
Suppliers
- As for the cooperating contractors we verify their approach to the environmental and OSaH issues and we consider this criterion in the contractor selection process,
- We prefer the use of materials and technology minimizing the environmental impact.
Communication
- We use internal communication tools to inform our employees and cooperating entities on the risks related to their health and the environment,
- In a suitable way we communicate the wording of this policy to all the Company’s employees, business partners, and the public.
Supervision and prevention
- We carry out systematic monitoring of the Company’s processes level in terms of quality, occupational safety and health, and environmental impact; we document observed deficiencies and ensure the remedy thereof,
- We take the preventive measures to avoid discrepancies, risks and accidents, injuries and health damage.
Employee preparation
- By the means of permanent systematic preparation of our employees we increase the level of their knowledge on the issues of the Integrated Management System,
- We verify the knowledge and skills of our employees together with their skills to response properly to possible risks and emergency situations.
Systematic improvement
- For the purpose of the Integrated Management Policy implementation we define specific time objectives and programmes and appoint persons responsible for execution thereof,
- We permanently seek for ways how to rationalize consumption of energy, input materials, and reduce the amount of technological waste,
- We regularly examine and evaluate the results following from fulfilment of the policy, objectives, and the IMS programmes; we use the evaluation results to update the policy and seek for the methods of further improvement.
The Company management assigns the task to lower level managers to communicate this policy to all the Company employees and to create the conditions facilitating that the information on the policy is fully available to and respected by the cooperating partners, as well.
